Summary: It's summer vacation in
Sunnydale and the carnival has come to town. At the
carnival Willow and Xander hook up with two carnies but
Buffy sense something evil about them and she thinks it
has something to do with the sudden influx of coyotes in
the area. Eventually Buffy learns that the carnies are
skinwalkers and that they're in town to raise Spurs
Hardaway, their old master, from his grave in one of
Sunnydale's cemeteries. Buffy has to stop these
werecoyotes before Willow and Xander become their
victims. |

Review: Fun to read and true to the
series because it felt like an episode I might have
watched. The characters were really well written and none
of them stuck out as being out of character. I liked the
idea of a carnival and it was put to good use. The old
skinwalker coyote, Hopscotch, added a nice twist to the
story because he didn't want Spurs raised unlike the rest
of his kind. It was interesting how he helped Buffy out
in the end. My favourite part had to be when Buffy put her
Slayer skills to good work and dunked that clown by
hitting the trip line with the soft ball. Classic :)
Definitely a good book. |
