Summary: Chirayoju, an ancient Chinese vampire, and Sanno, a Japanese Mountain King, have been fighting for years. Their spirits were imprisoned in a sword by a curse. The sword arrives in Sunnydale and while viewing the Japanese exhibit at the museum Willow becomes possessed by the spirit of Chirayoju and Xander, later on, becomes possessed by the spirit of Sanno. Buffy must figure out a way to stop the two spirits without killing her own friends. During the final battle, when the fight takes an ugly turn, Buffy must also keep her own spirit alive.

Review: You just know that any book written by Christopher Golden and Nancy Holder is going to be a good one. And this was no exception. I loved this book. Everything about it was excellent; the banter between the Scooby Gang was perfect as well as hysterical and the plot was absolutely brilliant. I loved the final battle in the Japanese garden and Buffy trying to regain control of her body. I loved the emotions displayed between Buffy and Angel. There was so much tension and atmosphere in the final battle and it felt electrical. I couldn't put the book down! This book leaves out no detail giving us lush descriptive paragraphs and makes you wanting more. I did not want this novel to end because it was so darn good. You'll love this book, no matter how many times you read it!
