Summary
Please note that since there
is going to be a confusion between Faith and Buffy I have
decided to list them as the body that they are in first and
then put the actual person in brackets behind it. ie
Faith(Buffy) Buffy is in Faith's body.
The police and ambulance arrive ay the
Summers' home and Faith(Buffy) is taken away on a stretcher.
Once they've left, Joyce tries to figure out why Faith turned
out the way she and Buffy(Faith) can only suggest that maybe
she likes to be like that. Faith then tries to get used to
Buffy's body. Faith(Buffy) is meanwhile strapped down on a
bed while she squirms, trying to tell the people that she's
actually Buffy. She settles down after they give her a
sedative. Meanwhile, Buffy(Faith) puts on some of Buffy's
sexier clothing, finds her passport and uses Joyce's credit
card to buy a plane ticket on the phone. Joyce then walks in
and tells her that Giles phoned so Buffy(Faith) heads over.
Meanwhile, while transferring Faith(Buffy) to a different
hospital, the Watcher's Council stops the car and takes Faith
into their custody. Buffy(Faith) heads to Giles' and tells
the gang that she kicked Faith's ass and the police took her
away. Giles then tells her that police no longer have her in
their custody but the Watcher's Council does and she's on her
way to England. Buffy(Faith) says that they should all go
home and she'll do her job and patrol tonight. Instead, she
heads to the Bronze and starts dancing up a storm. She runs
in to Spike and hasn't a clue who he is but he ends up giving
away all his info so Buffy(Faith) doesn't have a problem
picking up where Buffy left off. She taunts him and he gets
extremely pissed of.
In the sewers somewhere, Adam runs into a
group of vampires residing there. He shows them his strength
and they follow him without question. In the custody of the
Watcher's Council, Faith(Buffy) wakes up again and tries to
explain to the Council members that she's actually Buffy in
Faith's body. They don't believe her and lock her back up.
Willow then takes Tara to the Bronze and much to their
surprise they find Buffy there. Willow introduces Tara to
Buffy(Faith) and then leaves to get some sodas. Buffy(Faith)
notices Tara staring after Willow and makes some comments
about Willow and Tara being a gay couple. She acts nasty
towards Tara until Willow comes back and points out a
vampire. Buffy tells her's got good eyesight, then, realizing
that she should kill it, gets up and heads to the back room
where the vamp is feasting on a girl. She kills him that the
girl thanks her profusely. Buffy(Faith) heads back and Willow
tells her she's taking Tara home because she doesn't feel
well. She mentions Riley and Buffy(Faith) decides to go over
to Riley's. When Willow and Tara get back to Tara's, Tara
tells her that Buffy isn't Buffy and that her aura was
fragmented. She asks Willow if she has anything of Buffy's,
Willow hands her a ring and Tara think that they can perform
a spell to locate Buffy in the Nether Realm to find out
what's happened. Willow says that she trusts Tara to ber her
anchor in this world.
Over at Riley's, Buffy(Faith) acts completely
spazzy and un-Buffy like much to Riley's surprise, but he
just assumes that she's a little bizarre today. Meanwhile,
Willow and Tara prepare their spell. They perform it and it's
a difficult one. Willow becomes unconscious as her astral
porjection slips into the Nether Realm. Later that night,
Buffy(Faith) wakes up in bed with Riley and after Riley tells
her that he loves her (or rather Buffy) she freaks out and
gets out of bed. She's incredibly confused and says to
herself that this was meaningless, all the while shaking
uncontrollably. Meanwhile Adam and the three vampires are
discussing their fears and Adam says that it's time for them
to face their fears.
The next morning, Buffy(Faith) dresses and
leaves a sleeping Riley in bed. Just as she's about to leave
the frat house she runs in to Forrest who says somehting
abotu her being 'killer'. She insists wildly that she isn't a
killer and that he doesn't know anything about her. After
numerous attempts to escape, Faith(Buffy) finally manages to
escape in the van that she was held captive in. Meanwhile,
Buffy(Faith) has made it to the airport and is picking up her
plane tickets. Faith(Buffy) returns to Giles' and manages to
convince him that she's Buffy trapped in Faith's body. Willow
and Tara then show up and Willow's completely up to date. She
tells about her spell with Tara and then produces a glowing
green orb in a box. It's called a Katra and will switch Buffy
and Faith into their normal bodies so long as they can get to
Faith. Xander phones to tell them to turn on the TV. The news
report tells of twenty hostages locked in a church with a
inhuman mad man. Buffy(Faith) also sees the news at the
siport.
At the church, the vampire who feared the
church is holding the place hostage. The police are stationed
outside and Riley shows up telling them not to go inside.
Buffy(Faith) is also outside and tells Riley that since he's
injured he's not going in either and that she has to do this
because 'she's Buffy.' She heads inside and prepares to face
off with the three vampires. Giles, Tara, Willow and
Faith(Buffy) arrive on the scene and Faith(Buffy) heads into
the church. Inside, Buffy(Faith) is fighting to save the
people's lives and she's already dusted one vamp. One tries
to escape and runs in to Riley outside who throws him into
the sunlight where he combusts quickly. Faith(Buffy) then
dusts the last vampire who was wailing on Buffy(Faith). The
two Slayers then start fighting and Buffy(Faith) goes crazy,
wailing on Faith(Buffy) and telling her she's horrible and
disgusting, as if she were trying to beat on herself.
Faith(Buffy) then grabs the Katra and then grabs
Buffy's(Faith's) hand and they transfer back to their
original bodies. Buffy is shocked by Faith's reactions and
Faith runs out of the church immediately.
Later on, Buffy is at Riley's. She gets off
the phone and tells him that Faith has disappeared as well
the Council members. Riley's shocked at the body switch and
mad at himself for not having picked up on it. Buffy figures
out that he slept with Faith in Bufyf's body and she doesn't
know what to say. Meanwhile, Faith is in the cargo hold on a
moving vehicle, looking lost and lonely.

Nika Summers' Review
Wahoo! Loads of fun in this episode! And
it's interesting to see that Faith is starting to get a
consciense, though I'm afraid we won't have ourselves the
bad-ass girl that we all loved so much! They can do so much
with Faith and it's nice to see that they didn't just kill
her off. She can then come back any time in the next while.
Anyway, on to the acting. Sarah Michelle Gellar was awesome
trying to imitate Eliza Dushku's acting style as Faith.
Though it wasn't seamless, it was still incredibly well done
and I could feel that it was actually Faith inside her. I
loved her little scene in front of the mirror, that was
absolutely priceless. I wasn't as pleased with Eliza Dushku's
performance, mostly because I think I prefer her as Faith.
The thing that freaked me out the most was the final fight
scene between Buffy and Faith and where Faith inside of
Buffy's body was completely failing on her own body. As if
she almost wanted to destroy herself because she was so
disgusted by the things she's done. I didn't really believe
it until now, but I think Faith wants to be Buffy, or at
least like her. She tries to get attention in ways that don't
really work (ie, killing people) but it doesn't get her where
or what she wants. mI hope we see lots more of Faith in the
future (with her tattoo of course!) I really would have liked
to have seen Willow go into the Nether Realm to search for
Buffy because that would have made some incredible
interesting scenes. Also, by now, the Watcher's Council is
just starting to look more and more pathetic. They obviously
can't handle their Slayers and don't have a clue on how to be
able to handle them. Quite sad really.
Niki Bartl's Review
Wow, a really, really great episode. It's
reminiscent of the X-Files episode when that shapeshifter
takes Mulder's body and goes to Scully's place. That was my
favourite X-Files for a long, long time. Sarah Michelle
Gellar did a good acting job, but it's not that hard to be
"bad". David Boreanaz still takes first prize as
bad-ass Angel.Eliza did an amazing job of "being
Buffy". She actually had me going in the scene where she
goes to see Giles, I actually believed Buffy was in her body.
Does anyone else wonder about the fluxtuating size of Buffy's
breasts? I don't get it! One ep she has huge ones, the next,
she's small again. I guess it depends on how much they stuff
her bra. And that girl is getting way to skinny. Look at the
size of her arms when she's hanging out in the Bronze. My
wrists are as big as her biceps. And how metaphorical was
that scene with Tara and Willow? Hello, they were practically
doing it together! But what was up with her dissing the magic
before? I think they're is still a little more of this story
to tell. How underused were Xander/Anya in this episode? I
want a good, juciy Xander episode, a la BBB. On the whole, a
great ep, great acting, but Eliza really showed what she's
made of this episode, so I hope they kill Adam off soon and
bring that bitch back!
