Summary

Buffy grabs Dawn and runs out of the dorms immediately with Glory hot on their tails. But before Glory can snag Dawn a huge truck comes out of nowhere and slams into Glory, tossing her aside and giving Buffy enough time to leave the area with Dawn. The entire gang gathers at Xander's apartment and Buffy's infuriated that Glory knows Dawn is that key and that she's not physically capable to fight Glory. Buffy insists that they leave Sunnydale immediately. At Glory's place Ben is walking around, trailed by one of Glory's minions. The female demon tells him that he only exists because of Glory and that he should give in to her. But Ben wants his own life and if Glory gets her key then Ben will cease to exist, and he knows it. A short while later Buffy and Spike pull up in a huge Winnebago with Spike at the wheel. Giles doesn't want him along but Buffy argues overtop of him and says he's staying. Meanwhile three atrange men leave the hospital and meet a general in the forest. They're part of the Knights of Byzantium and they've just removed one of their insane members from the hospital. The crazy man tells them that the key is human. The general herds his large troop of men to look for the key immediately.

Back on the Winnebago Giles is driving and Xander has motion sickness while Willow researches barrier spells. Dawn then thanks her sister for everything that she's done for her and that she's doing ana amazing job. Buffy can't hold back the tears of pain for everything that has happened to her lately. Suddenly the Knights of Byzantium on horseback swarm the Winnebago. They jump on the vehicle and start attacking. Buffy gets to the roof and start fighting off dozens of knights. Then a knight throws a spear that hits Giles in the gut and he ends up rolling the vehicle. Giles is badly wounded and they carry him to an abandoned gas station. Once again they're attacked by the knights who fire flaming arrows at them. Buffy takes their general hostage while Willow erects a powerful energy barrier that should keep the knights out for half a day. Buffy tries talking to the general but he will not help her in any way. Suddenly Tara goes nuts, muttering over and over the word "time". The mental patinets at the hospital do the same but they get up and leave the hospital.

Buffy is with Giles and he tells her that she has grown up exceptionally well and that she's everything he could have hoped for. Determined, Buffy goes to the knights and asks them to be honorable and to allow someone to come to heal Giles. They agree and Buffy calls Ben who arrives shortly thereafter. He fixes up Giles and Ben says he'll do anything to help. The general then tells Buffy that Glory has an insatiable lust for pain and the other two gods of her dimension cast out Glory to live in this deimension because of her ways. She now lives in this dimension in the form of a male. Dawn demands to know what she is and he tells her that her power is absolute and that she was created to open the gates between dimensions to send Glory home. When this is done, the dimensions will bleed to toether and nothing but chaos will exist. Buffy promises that she won't let anything happen to Dawn. The general tries to convince Ben to destroy the key is order to destroy the Beast. Suddenly Ben demands to be let out and then transforms into Glory. She kills the general and runs off with Dawn. Buffy can't make it to her sister and Glory disappears into the night. Utterly shocked, Buffy collapses, crying silently.

Nika's Review

Okay, so you kill the human vessel (Ben) and kill the Beast at the same time (Glory). Uh uh. No way. Nothing is ever *that* simple in Buffyverse. There's always gonna be a loophole somewhere. Like the Ben himself will beat Glory inside his body, but then we'd never see it and it'd be rather pointless. Okay, so that's out. How about Dawn dies? Seriously doubting it now just cuz Buffy's gonna really lose it if anyone else in her family dies. Okay so that's out too. Damn. What's let? Buffy physically cannot defeat Glory and is forced to call on the first slayer's powers. Wait, no again, that happened last season. We're running out of ideas here. So maybe Willow will take Glory down? It's possible but doesn't really work since it's always Buffy destroying the big bad. I don't want a cheap ending. I want a downright nasty fight scene. I wanna see Buffy fight everything to get what she wants this time round. I don't want a first slayer inhabiting her body and leaving us with the episode Restless which I'm sure we're all still trying to figure out. I don't a big bomb exploding giving us an empty feeling. I want Buffy fighting like she did in the first season. And like she did in the second season. That's what's bothered me about the past two seasons of Buffy, the season finales (well Primeval last year) were easy ways out. I don't want an easy way out this time round. PHEW! That being said... a lot happened this episode. I don't really have anything specific to say about it, I just wanted to put out some thoughts about the finale.
