Summary

After rambunctious sex on the floor, Buffy and Spike surprise themselves by actually maintaining a conversation afterwards. Spike calls her an animal, to which she argues that she's not. Spike asks her if she likes him and she answers sometimes, but that she doesn't trust him ever. Meanwhile the troika have set up a new lair where they cast a spell that creates a cerebral dampener. A round silver ball which will make any woman they want their sex slave. The next day Tara shows up at the Doublemeat Palace. Buffy tells her that Spike can hurt her, and only her. She wants Tara to do research because she feels she came back wrong from the dead.

Meanwhile the trio are looking for hotties in a bar. Warren finds Katrina and she's still angry at him for the sexbot he created a year ago. She won't listen to him and he pulls out the cerebral dampener and she immediatelly calls him Master. Buffy comes home to finds Xander teaching Dawn to dance for the wedding. Dawn then heads over to Janice's house, figuring the Buffy doesn't care because she's never home anyway. Katrina is now under Warren's spell and Warren wants to use her. He tells Andrew and Jonathan that they can have her after he's done with her. Warren and Katrina start kissing wildly and he forces her to say I love you to him. She then says his name instead of Master. She suddenly wakes up and she's furious. She tells them that this is rape and she's disgusted by Warren's actions yet again. She tries to escape but Warren knocks her out with a beer bottle, accidentally killing her. They're freaked out and Warren wants to get rid of the body somehow. He refuses to go to the police though Andrew and Jonathan want to. He decides that they'll involved the Slayer and make her think she killed the girl.

At the Bronze Xander, Anya and Willow dance up a storm while Buffy watches them upstairs from the balcony. Spike comes up behind her telling her that she doesn't belong with her friends because she's made of the darkness. He slowly lifts up her skirt and reaches under while he orders to her open her eyes and look at her friends. The next day, Willow and Xander run into Tara at the Magic Box. It's an awkward conversation but Willow tells Tara that she's been spell-free for 32 days. Tara is happy for her. That night Buffy goes hunting, walking by Spike's crypt, but for once deciding that she should stay away from him. She hears screaming and runs into a demon and finds a girl hurt. But time starts to flip around and Buffy only sees bits and pieces of what's going on aroundher. Sometimes she sees Spike. Sometimes she's fighting. Then there's three demons. She accidentally hits the girl who rolls down a hill. The demons are killed and a confused Buffy finds the girl dead. She can't believe she killed her and Spike pulls her away from the scene. Buffy's too shocked to do anything and the trio of nerds rejoice that they managed to fool Buffy into thinking she killed Katrina.

At home, Buffy dreams of sex with Spike as well as her staking him. The dream continues and she sees the dead girl roll over. Buffy goes to Dawn's room and wakes her up. She tells her that she loves her but that she has to go to the police to tell them what she's done. Dawn doesn't understand and thinks Buffy only wants to leave her. Spike catches Buffy in the alley behind the police station. He has thrown the body into the river but the police have still found it. Buffy wants to tell the police but Spike won't ler her because he doesn't want her throwing her life away over this. He tries to justify the girl's death by pointing out how many people she has saved. Buffy gets angry and beats Spike senseless, continually bashing his face in and insulting him. She walks into the station and is about to tell the officer but overhears the name of the girl that died. She then figures that Warren caused all this and runs out immediately. After quick research, Anya finds the demon that altered the time and caused Buffy to hallucinate.

The night, Tara goes over to Buffy's house and tells her that when she came back from the dead that her molecular structure was changed enough to cause the chip in Spike's head to not function on her. Buffy can't believe this and bursts into tears. She feels that this can't be her because she let Spike do all those things to her. Tara realizes what's been going on between Buffy and Spike and tells her that it'll be okay. As the tears pour down Buffy's face she begs Tara not to forgive her for doing this. That it's sick and twisted and that no good could ever come from it. As she cries into Tara's lap, she says she doesn't want to be forgiven, ever.

Nika's Review

Wow... the ending of this was so powerful... Buffy's begging of Tara not to forgive her was the highlight of the episode. She can see that this is wrong, and this brings hope for all those out there that dislike the idea of Spike and Buffy together. We can see the pain that this is causing her... When she would out that she's normal is was absolutely heartbreaking. To her, if she came back wrong, then it would have been an excuse as to why she's doing all these things with Spike. But now she has no excuse and she realizes that this is her. Now that's really sad... Poor Buffy... I'm seeing a bright future though, maybe she'll snap out of it finally. I keep saying that, but nothing ever seems to happen unfortunately. Anyway, on to the trio... haha, they're so freaking hilarious. The word "bazoombahs" had me on the floor in hysterics. As well as the "don't you curse me!" line. That whole deal with Katrina was SCARY. She's right, it IS rape... and once that word had been said I think it scared the willies out of Andrew and Jonathan. They hadn't thought about it on those terms but now they can see that Warren isn't exactly good for them. I think Jonathan is seeing that more than Andrew actually is. The thing with Warren (and btw, eewwwww way hairy chest there man!) is that if he did love her, which is what I seem to think, then why on earth did he create a sex bot in the first place? He obviously likes her enough to want to get back together with her, and he did say he loved her... then why a sexbot? That doesn't follow for me... Katrina (can't remember the actress that played her right now) was GOOD. Really strong as an actress and her little show down with the troika was well done. Too bad we won't really be seeing her again.

And on of the death part... Buffy's got a little too much of a conscience in this ep for me. It seemed to be somewhat of a rehashing of season 3's Bad Girls and Consequences. Glad she was laying it all out on Spike at the end, he was helping her, and I'll thank him for that.

Oh, and one other thing: WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THE EXCESSIVE SEX? I can't take it anymore! They're too graphic for this timeslot and it is NOT helping the show in any way. It's gratuitous, nasty (hell, I wouldn't even want to see all this crap with ANGEL for crying out loud!) and just plain wrong. I can't watch this with my parents because I feel like my heroine is doing all the wrong things and being overly graphic about it!
