Summary

The gang is at Buffy's house for a meeting organized by Giles. He informs them that the Watchers Council is coming to Sunnydale because they have info on Glory but Buffy really doesn't want the Council interfering with her work. Meanwhile a faint and weak Glory is waiting desperately for her minions to bring her a human. They do so and she drinks his energy from his brain with her fingers, restoring her energy.

The next day Giles is helping customers at his store when in walk six members of the Watcher's Council, including Quentin Travers. Some Watchers criticize Giles' stock as too dangerous and close the shop down for the time they plan to be in town. Quentin informs Giles that he has info on Glory but he will only hand it over to them after he has put them through a review and that he's confident they can handle the information. Giles does not want Buffy put through another one of their tests. Meanwhile Buffy is in class getting grief from one of her teachers for mentioning a different point of view. Angry, Buffy goes hunting that night, only to have Spike finish off her vampire, which she's none too pleased about. Over at the hospital Ben is approached by Glory's minion, Jinx. Glory wants info on Buffy, the Slayer, but Ben refuses to give up any info. Buffy returns from her hunt to Giles' shop to find the Council waiting for her. They plan to check her fighting skills, her mindset and interview her friends. If she refuses their review they will leave Sunnydale with their info, close down Giles' shop and have Giles deported back to England. Giles and Buffy are left alone and Buffy's worried that she won't pass the Council's tests making her unable to defeat Glory and protect Dawn. The next day Council members interview Buffy's friends; which goes rather bizarrely, as they interview Spike too, who does nothing to help Buffy's situation. They physical test comes later: Buffy is blindfolded and told to protect a dummy from the attacker while she's instructed in japanese. It doesn't work for her so she does it her way; she beats the attacker up but accidentally throws the weapon into the dummy's chest.

Buffy returns home to find Glory waiting for her. Glory wants the key and she's convinced that Buffy knows where it is. Dawn shows up in the room and after seeing her, Glory tells Buffy that she'll kill her family next time if Buffy doesn't tell her where the key is hidden. Glory leaves and Buffy orders Dawn and Joyce to pack a bag. She takes them to Spike and asks him to keep them safe while she deals with Glory. Buffy is heading back to the shop, where the gang and Council members are waiting for her, when she's attacked by several men who are identified as Knights of Byzantium. She takes them out and the last one left us a guy with a bold tattoo on his forehead. Apparently they're in Sunnydale looking for the key and so long as Buffy safeguards the key, she is there enemy as they are here to destroy it.

Buffy eventually makes it back to the shop and tells Quentin there won't be anymore review. The Council came back to Sunnydale because they need her. People are trying to tell her what to do because she has power and this bothers them. So now she's going to exert her power. She tells the Council that she wants all their info on Glory, Giles reinstated as Watcher as well as a couple other things. Quentin agrees to the terms then tells them that Glory isn't a demon, she's a god.

Nika's Review

Well the big truth about Glory is out. She's a god. Somehow this really didn't come as a surprise to most of us. She's been impossible to fight, never gets hurt so it's kind of obvious that she wasn't some normal demon. So she's a god. Now what do we do? How the hell do you fight a god? Well it's... ooo! Sudden idea! So Willow and Tara cast some spell to get rid of all Glory's god like qualities. Like invincibility, which leaves Glory stuck in her human form, so then she'll fight Buffy that way. Which leaves us an awesome fight scene, a great spell and a satisfying ending. But wait... what about Dawn? We gotta get rid of her somehow. I personally see her going out with a big flash of light... She is a key and can't last. Or at least I hope she doesn't last. I want the big emotional scene like we had at the end of Season 2. The big sha-bang. Anyway, back to this episode. Quentin Travers does nothing but aggravate me. Ugh... and what happened to him anyway? It looked like he'd aged 20 years! Glory's a lot of fun too. I like how she's pissing off Buffy cuz I'm having fun with her. Buffy's getting a little too damn testy about it all. Course I kinda understand; her family in jeopardy, yadda yadda yadda, but still, when she gets infuriated she just stays in that attitude for a really long time. Anyway, there's plenty to learn from upcoming episodes!
