Chapter 5 - Goodbye
It took Xander awhile to realize the doors were banging, Angel shot the kid a simpathy look as he opened up the doors, Buffy rushed in along with Willow, Tara and the blonde vampire who walked slowly in and closed the door
"Angel, dad, got something to eat, Iīm starved" Spike complained
"Buffy, how did you--" Xander started
"Well, duh! You were making us worrying sick about you!" Willow yelled "How could you just.. go!? Without telling anyone.."
"Wills, I donīt need to tell you what I do, I was just going to take few days off, donīt I deserve that?" Xander broke in
"And does your vacation include hurting yourself?" Buffy asked
"I hate to say it but the slayer has a point, mate" Spike said moving beside Buffy, to show her support
"I donīt need to take this from you!" Xander yelled throwing his hands up in the air
"Xander, we all know you miss her, but this is definetely not the way to deal with it" Buffyīs voice was softer
"What do you know, huh? Have you ever loved someone so much!? The only thing that has gone right in your life, the only thing you can trust on is taken away, I know you didnīt like Anya, but she was my girlfriend, I loved her from the bottom of my heart, more than I love my own life" His eyes were glassy because of tears and few drops escaped them "Every day I regret that I didnīt die, because I truly wish I had died instead of her.."
"Xander" Willow said as she tried to touch him
"No! Donīt touch me!" Xander yelled, tears were forming in his eyes
Willow tried to whipe his eyes but he pushed her away "No, go away.." He choked
He rushed past them and out the doors, with the gang following
"Xander?" Willow cried out
Xander got out at the wet streets, calling for taxi, the cab parked in front of him, he jumped in
"Where to go, sir?" The driver asked
"Anywhere but here" Xander answered as they drove away
Willow, Buffy, Tara, Spike and Angel came out just as the car drove away
"Goodbye" Xander whispered
