new life and flying cars

the year is now 2026, and Buffy is still up and about carrying out her duties as a slayer for the now old and ageing Sunnydale that was once filled with demons and vampires and normal people living out there lives. sometimes there were loss of lives, but sometimes it was just a normal night for the slayer, you spot a vampire or a demon, and then you kill it, and thats the end of it. But ever since that year, 2001, it changed her whole world and all the people revolving around it. it seemed that a normal night for her after that now was to mourn over the loss of her mum, and to deal with the pain and tearful memories that riley left behind of Buffy and him having such good times together as a normal couple. it just seemed that she couldnt take it anymore, it pushed her too far, as it did when she was lost in her own mind. as usual, her best friend willow helped her out of it, but ever since she experienced that, it seemed that it changed her whole perspective on things, feelings that she felt. now she was frightened to feel any feelings of loss, because of fear of losing herself again. it scared her, and she didn't want to go through with it again, not after that.

now in the year 2026, she is 45, and she looks even better than ever, but she doesn't think so, this age she dreaded to experience with no one to hold. it was just another normal day for her, slaying demons and vampires. everyone was still there, xander, willow, dawn is now married and has kids, one girl, sarah who is now 9 and one boy, fred who is 8. cute little things, they know that their niece is a slayer, and they talk about it with their friends at school. xander was married to anya and had one child, Chandler who was 15 now and was a typical teenager going through adolesence. giles was their to, but everyone knew he weren't going to be there for long, he was 72 now, but he didn't look it at all. but she had to face the sad news she heard that angel had been slain, by an overgrown pure demon, whilst in battle fighting for the continuation of the world for it to still be here. but strangely she didn't feel very sad, if anything she was proud that angel went fighting to the death, he fought for this world and thanks to him, it is still up and running. but what she didn't know about this night, is that it would change her forever. after she killed the anonymous vampire, she could feel a presence, someone in the darkness. she recognised this presence, as she felt it before, but she hadn't experienced it for so long, that she forgotten what it really felt like before. she looked round, constantly checking behind each shrub, every tree, but no sign of it. she kept herself in stealth mode obviously for her protection. this presence was growing by the moment, as she could feel it getting closer and closer, then all of a sudden, it jumped tight out of the bushes. she just froze in disbelieve, not believing that it was actually him, her only true love, the one she thought she would be with forever, but then was lost. it was Angel. was he back from the dead, was he ressurected by Cordelia and Wesley and Gunn, was he brought back by the powers that be. or, the biggest mystery of all, was he not slain at all, was it just a lie. if it was, who told it, and why?

they just didn't know what to say to each other, they had been apart for so long, that it felt like what they were feeling, was never felt before, true happiness. Buffy hesitated to say something, but Angel took over, "B...Buffy" he stuttered.

"Angel" Buffy said in the clearest voice she could use, after being faced with once again, disbelieve.

"it's good to see you again after soo long, i thought you were dead....er.erm, what i meant was..." he said, wishing he hadn't. it's good to see your still alive to, but...i er.. i heard you were killed..." Buffy knew there was going to be some long story behind it, and strangely enough, she couldn't wait to hear it.

"yeah...well i'm not obviously...erm..sss...omething happened..." "was it bad..." she wanted to take him in her arms, wanting to experience the feelings again she once felt for him, but she didn't.

"yyeeah...er...Wesley was killed by a ah...vampire who was in the battle....he was surrounded by soo many of them...and he couldn't handle them all by himself..and i wasn't their to help him...i was er...so weak from killing the japaflorn demon and i couldn't move...i just remember lying there not being able to move a muscle, and seeing him being toyed around with them vampires....he was killed..." saying what was on his mind didn't make him feel better at all, it just made him feel even more upset and lost as he felt time and time again over his 271 year old life.

"i'm sorry...but er...what happened to Cordelia..." she had a feeling that this wasn't going to sound too good either.

"Cordelia...she er...was killed to during the battle...and Gunn to..." he burst into tears after he told her the news. it had bothered him so much...not having anymore friends to share days and nights with, just someone to talk to. it had happened over 20 years ago, and he has been alone ever since.

"...and you've just come by to tell me that, after these many years" she wanted to know why he didn't tell her sooner.

"no of corse not....er the reason why i ...er...haven't seen you for so long is because...they captured me after the battle...and i was kept hostage until now...i just managed to escape with my life with whats left of it...after all that i had to see you again...Buffy...i..." he hesitated to say it, checking round for any vampires or demons present, but none were.

"i love you so much it kills me...i wanna be with you forever...i need you...i can't possibly live without you..."it felt like the biggest weight had been lifted of his shoulders and once again, he felt at ease with his pain.

"er....Angel...me and er...you were over a long time ago...and i don't think that me and you getting back together would be the best solution..." she didn't know what to feel. she wanted to feel the love they had once more, she wanted to experience it, but she knew there would be problems. he looked the same but she didn't, but they both knew that their love was more than that, their love was, eternal. he didn't want her to forget about her life that she had, he just wanted to be a part of it once again. he wanted it to be how it used to be with him and her going out together slaying demons and vampires, kissing after saying goodnight and seeing each other the next day, feeling even more happy to see each other. buffy wanted it to, but she was so confused, she couldn't see a place for him in her life again. she just didn't want to feel hurt again, but she started to get the feeling that this was going to be for good. then at that moment, once again, they took each other in their arms, and had a long passionate kiss. they felt at peace once again and didn't want it to end. buffy could sense that Angel was desperate so she accepted him in her life once again, feeling even happier than she ever was.
