Shooting Stars
Part 5
-----
"I really don't care what you think, okay?" Buffy yelled over her shoulder and through the door. She and Angel had been yelling insults and things back and forth through the door all day long. She'd started sitting outside the door the previous day, but now, not even the door stopped the arguing.
"I'm just making a point. If you need my help with Chaos, I should be doing something other than sitting in here, tied to a chair. It's pointless," Angel replied.
"Yeah, well, you can never be too careful with a homicidal vampire!" The only time the argument had really paused was when she'd gone down to call her mother, who was a little frightened, to say the least. Buffy had told her she was staying at the library to help Giles with stuff, which was a good enough excuse.
"Will you get off it already? I wasn't exactly the one to blame for that."
"If you aren't, who is? The gypsy clan? They're not the ones that started this whole mess." There was a pause. "And shouldn't you be asleep or something?"
"Not while I'm tied to a chair."
"I guess you'll just have to live with it. Wait, you're not living. My mistake."
"What is your problem?"
"Last time I checked, you were. My problem is that you decided to go all Mister-Killing-Spree on my friends and tried to suck the world into Hell for laughs with your little vamp buddies."
"Which isn't totally my fault."
"At least half of it is."
"How was I supposed to know what was going to happen?"
"Well, maybe if you weren't so cryptic-"
"I'm two hundred and fifty years old, what do you expect?"
"Maybe half a brain?"
"Oh, now I'm insulted. Really, now you've insulted me."
"Will you just shut up?"
"I will if you will."
"I'm not the one that started this."
"Started what?"
"Don't ask me. All I'm saying is that I wasn't the one following people around in the dark, giving them surprise presents and calling myself a 'friend'. Some friend you turned out to be."
"What does that have to do with anything?"
"Just pointing out that you could've been more helpful by telling me what was going on instead of giving some kind of cheesy treasure hunter hints."
"We sound like a couple of two year olds. Can we please try to sort this out like civilized people?"
"Okay. After all, you're the poster child for 'civilized'. If you have so many great ideas, why don't you just share a few?"
"Well, how about we start by untying me from the chair."
"Sorry. Really not liking your 'civilized' method."
"What do you suggest then? We sort this out by beating the crap out of each other? As I recall, that doesn't solve much."
"You'd loose and you know it."
"You wanna bet? Come in here and we can find out."
"You aren't worth the effort, and it would be way to easy."
"I think you're just scared."
"Why would I be? Because you're a 'vampire'? Please. Cordelia phrased it as a carebear with fangs, and I'm really starting to agree with her."
"Oh, that's an insult."
"Yeah, you're one to talk! How about you just shut up?"
"Fine."
"Fine!"
"Fine."
"This isn't helping."
"It took you this long to figure that out?"
"Bite me! Oh, wait. You can't. I tied you to the chair, didn't I?"
"I can get out of here if I really want to."
"Right. Just for the record, if I hear one fishy noise from you, you're gonna be a pile of dust on the floor in two seconds or less, mister."
"Right. Like you've got enough guts to come in here and kill me."
"What makes you think I don't?"
"I know you don't."
"You wanna find out? I know that's what you're trying to get me to do. Right now, I have to say, it sounds like a really good plan."
"Come in here and try it."
"What's the point?"
"See, I was right."
"About what?"
"You don't have the guts."
"Just shut the hell up, Mister-Know-It-All. Or I will come in there, and you'll be sorry you ever started this whole mess."
"What happened to 'you're not worth it'? Am I worth killing now that I'm annoying you?"
"No. I'm bored and killing you would provide me with some form of entertainment."
"If you could do it."
"I can."
"What makes you so sure of yourself?"
"I've done it before, and it wasn't that hard then."
"Okay. So even though this isn't a special circumstance, in which the world will come to an end if you don't kill me, you still think you could? I have to say, that's the funniest thing I've heard all day."
"I'll kill you and spread your ashes all the way to Kingdom Kum."
"I'm sure you would. You know, I'll bet you couldn't even find Kingdom Kum on a map."
"So now you're down to calling me stupid? You really are out of ideas for insults, aren't you?"
"No, I'm not calling you stupid. I'm commenting that you're un-intelligent. There's a difference."
"Yeah, of three syllables, you moron. They mean the same thing."
"So now I'm the stupid one?"
"No. Just the un-intelligent one."
"Now you're using my own words against me. That's not fair."
"Okay, you wanna talk unfair? What's not fair is that this is the only way I can deal with my emotional conflict because my brain's saying 'He's a vampire, hate him,' while my heart is telling me I still love you. That's not fair." Buffy sat still and silent for a moment, really beginning to wonder if she'd actually said that out loud. Apparently, she had, and it had much the same affect on Angel. "That sounded so much better in my head than it did when I actually said it." There was another pause. "Sorry," she finally said.
"Don't be," he replied. His voice sounded closer to the door, but maybe she was just imagining things.
"Well, I gotta figure, I only owe you about a thousand apologies, so I had to start somewhere."
"Makes sense. I owe you and everyone else about ten times that many, so don't feel so bad." Buffy couldn't help smiling at that.
"You probably want me to untie you now, huh?"
"Well, I would if I hadn't already done it myself." She'd been right. He was closer to the door. Still, she had to laugh.
"Well, that makes things simpler," she said. Now, she could only wonder what would happen next…
* * *
Angel smiled when he heard Buffy's laugh. He was glad that they weren't yelling at each other anymore. It was weird to have to yell back and forth all the time.
"So, now what do we do?" he asked her.
"Well, we have to wait for this Chaos guy to show up, I think. Then we have to kill him a couple times, and when he goes to his spirit form, you have to talk to him, I think, and hopefully, he won't end the world," she explained simply. He could tell she was debating whether or not to add something more to the discussion.
"Then what?" He knew there was something more than her simple explanation. Something she wasn't sure if she should mention or not.
"Well… Willow found something. I probably shouldn't be mentioning it, but I figure you'll just keep asking until I do," she explained.
"You know me too well," he replied.
"Anyway, Willow found a spell in one of her books that… If we survive this Chaos thing, she wants to try turning you back into a human." Angel grew silent. It was amazing how Buffy's friends were. Even after everything he'd done to them, they were still forgiving.
They were so forgiving that they planned to give him back his life…
* * *
Xander yawned, looking over at Willow, who was talking to Oz as the two of them looked through some of the books for more information on Chaos. Cordelia had decided to go home a long time ago, and Giles was lost somewhere up in the stacks.
He sighed as his thoughts once again dwelled on Buffy. She was alone with Angel at Willow's house. She had been all day. He kept reassuring the others that the two of them were so into the arguing thing that nothing would happen. But, he wasn't so sure about that himself.
Plus, Willow had a new plan to restore Angel's humanity. All of it this time, not just the soul. Which she'd already managed to do. Everyone was practically jumping up and down in eagerness to forgive the vampire for whatever he might have done to them.
Except Xander. Even Giles had seemed okay with it, when Willow had finally gotten the guts to tell him, when had taken a lot convincing and three shiny nickels from Xander. But, as the teen had stressed before, Angel was a killer. He'd murdered Miss Calendar. His vampire lackies had put Willow in a coma due to head trauma and broken Xander's arm. Drusilla, one of his 'creations', had killed Kendra; the other Slayer that showed up after Buffy died for a few moments. Then, Angel had tortured Giles and tried to end the world by sucking all humans into Hell.
And that was in the time of a few short months. Xander couldn't begin to imagine what he'd done before he was cursed the first time, when he had a hundred years to cause chaos and havoc. And kill things.
"Xander. Xander!" Giles' voice shook him from his thoughts.
"What?" he snapped, a little angrily. He looked at Giles.
"W-well, we um… We found a way to defeat Chaos in his first state," Giles said, apparently surprised by Xander's angry tone.
"Oh. Sorry. What's up?" He decided he should apologize for his anger earlier, so as not to keep Giles from explaining the information.
"Each individual has to remember that they really shouldn't be angry at whomever Chaos points their hatred towards. He-he will pick a reason you should be angry with someone a-and he will escalate that feeling until you start a fight and, well… He doesn't stop until the people fighting a-are…" Giles' voice trailed off.
"Dead," Xander finished. Willow nodded. "Figures. So, the people who hate each other enough to kill each other already - without demon influence - should probably be separated so nothing goes wrong, right?"
"Not necessarily, no. We'll all have to stay together, if that's possible. It will take our combined willpower to defeat Chaos, and if we split up, we could all slowly be killed, one by one," Giles said, grabbing an old, dusty book and flipping through it. "Um, yes here it is. This says that since he's never before been defeated, he has a lot of confidence. That doesn't, however, make him at all easy to defeat. His exact powers are unknown, and all it says here is that no man has lived to tell about them."
"No man?" Xander asked, narrowing his eyes.
"I don't think these book people write about what demons have heard about other demons," Willow said matter-of-factly. "Probably not the most reliable information source, either." Xander had to admit that she was probably right.
"Well, just make sure Buffy's the first one to defeat him, and we can all not die. Right?" Xander said.
"Xander, what are you so… Oh," Willow said. He and Angel hated each other enough to kill each other, even without Chaos' help. With his influence over them, who knew what could happen…

Cordelia sat straight up, surprised that she had fallen asleep in the middle of the day. Her face was covered in a cold sweat, her hair flattened around her face. She looked over into the mirror, seeing that there was almost no color in her face. Her breath was coming to her in short gasps and her lips were pale and looked drained.
She screamed slightly when the phone rang. Letting out a sigh, she grabbed it, quickly asking whom it was as she searched her room with her eyes for a hairbrush.
"Cordy? It's Xander. We need you here. At the library," Xander's voice said to her. She grabbed her brush off her end table, pulling the excess hair out of it. She turned back to the mirror.
"Why?" she asked, glancing over at the clock. It was seven at night, or just after sunset. She'd been asleep for two hours. And she'd obviously had a bad dream, but she couldn't remember it. She noted that the color was starting to return to her face.
"Just come down here, okay?" He hung up shortly after that. She began to wonder what was going on. There had been a bit of noise in the background, like arguing. It probably was, knowing the way things had been going lately. The end of the world did that.
She grabbed her black clogs from beside the bed and left her room, meeting her mother in the kitchen. She'd have to come up with some kind of excuse for all her time out of the house, and she wasn't sure what she'd say this time. She'd used up most of her good excuses already.
"Oh, Cordelia. Your friend Xander called a little while ago, he wanted to know if you could help him study for something? He said you two and Willow were having an all night study thing, and were meeting at the library," her mom said to her. Cordelia's jaw dropped open. "Is something wrong?"
"N-no. I'm just surprised that he remembered. He just called to check where I was, because I fell asleep," she said, having to think quickly to come up with a follow-up excuse. She didn't have to do all of it on her own, though, which she was happy about.
The girl watched her mother as she turned to one of the candles on the table. She lit a match, and something sparked Cordelia's memory. There was fire, racing at her. She felt it burn her flesh, setting her hair on fire as she collapsed to the cold, tile floor. There was someone screaming her name, trying to get her attention…
Suddenly, she was back in the kitchen at her house, where everything was fine. She had fallen to the ground, and her mother was kneeling down beside her, calling her out of the fainting spell. She took a few deep breaths, wiping away the sweat that had broken out on her forehead.
"My God, are you all right?" her mom asked when she'd caught her breath. The woman's eyes were wide with fear and concern. "Cordelia, what on Earth was that all about?"
"I'm fine, mom. I have to go," she said, climbing to her feet and sliding her shoes on. Her mother followed her to the door, finally grabbing her daughter's arm in an attempt to stop her.
"Cordelia, I'm not letting you go out! Not after that whole mess!" her mother said. The girl shook off her mother's grip, glad, for once, that she'd let Giles show her a few things about fighting over the summer. Her mother was usually able to stop her. She grabbed her purse, which came complete with a cross and a stake just in case, and left the house, determined now more than ever to get to the library.
* * *
"No, I don't have any idea what that could mean, Cordelia. Usually, Buffy's the only on that has semi-prophetic dreams," Giles said again. Cordelia groaned, rolling her eyes and glaring at the Watcher.
"This is serious, Giles! I don't know what happened, I've never been afraid of fire like that before!" she said. Xander was standing beside her, seeming as though he didn't mind that she was clinging to his hand like it was her escape rope out of the bottomless pit.
"Um… Oh, here we are," Giles said. Cordelia leaned over his shoulder, looking at the sentence he pointed out. "I suspect if this could be a prophecy, it has something to do with Chaos. He, um… When he becomes angry, he-he tends to use fire attacks. They're usually very powerful and can sometimes be deadly."
"That has to be it," Cordelia said, moving back to a normal standing position. She pulled her long brown hair back out of her face. "Giles, I passed out on the kitchen floor after my mom lit a match! This is serious!"
"Yes, I suspect it is. We'll have to figure it out later, however. We have more than enough to deal with right now," Giles said, shutting his book and standing. Willow was at the computer on the study table, searching for any information of when Chaos might make his appearance.
"Now what do we do? Chaos shouldn't be here for a few days, right?" Xander asked, taking a seat across from Oz, Cordelia sitting next to Xander. Oz was beside Willow.
"Well, we're not at all sure. I asked Willow to look and to see if-" Giles was interrupted by a surprised cry from Willow, who now looked to Giles. Her eyes were wide.
"Giles! Listen to this," she said, looking back to the computer screen. "This is the part under the headline on Sunnydale's newspaper. It's on the front page. 'The knowledge of 'vampires' really existing in this small Southern town of Sunnydale, California was revealed to the media six days ago. Printing the story was not an option before because of the need to check the validity of it, but it is all perfectly true. These creatures of the night really exist, and they have been living here, unnoticed, for quite some time'. It mentions that they still don't know if it's really vampires or just cult-worshipping teens, but it says it."
"Is that all it says?" Buffy asked, leaning over to look at the screen from her position sitting on the counter. She knew she wasn't supposed to be on campus, but they had an emergency to deal with.
"No. It mentions that there were attacks on the school and other places in Sunnydale - that might be gangs - like outside the Bronze, but they weren't mentioned by the people that knew the truth because it would cause… Citywide chaos," Willow said.
"Chaos the thing or Chaos the demon?" Xander asked, looking at the screen from over the top. All of them were crowded around the check-in counter now, watching Willow scroll down the page.
"Probably both," Angel said from the other side of the library. Xander had forced the decision to tie him to the railing, much to Buffy's displeasure. Everyone looked over at him, as he shrugged. "Come on, why do you think they call him Chaos?"
"That's a good point, actually. That might help us find some sort of way to defeat him," Giles said, thinking out loud. "Maybe the Demon Encyclopedia makes reference to Chaos," he muttered as he walked back into his office.
"So, when's he showing up?" Cordelia asked, as Giles came back with a big, dusty book. He set it down on the study table, flipping to the 'C' section.
"Ah. Here it is, Chaos. Um, he's apparently supposed to rise at dawn… Hmm… Willow, perhaps you-you can read this better than I," Giles said, pointing out the small paragraph for Willow to translate. It was Serbian, which Willow knew pretty well, and Giles didn't. She came over to where he was, leaving Oz to do the Internet navigation.
"Oh, okay, this makes sense. 'He shall rise, and darkness shall come at dawn'," Willow translated from the book. "He comes instead of the sun."
"So, no daylight? So, while we're here fighting him, the vampires can be out having a huge bloodbath and we can't stop them?" Xander asked, looking to Giles. It took the librarian a moment to understand the teenager's words, but when he did, he shook his head.
"I suspect that - with the rise of a being that is considerably more powerful than themselves - they'll go into hiding. That's their normal behavior, or so I believe," Giles said, looking to Angel for some kind of conformation.
"Vamps aren't big on buffets when there's a new demon in town," he said, agreeing with Giles' thoughts. "They tend to cut and run."
"Well, that's a plus. At least we have only one major thing trying to destroy Sunnydale," Buffy said, turning to Giles. "What do we do until he gets here?"
"I vote we-" Xander started. Cordelia cut him off, already knowing that he was planning to make some sort of smart comment that had to do with Angel, and she was just sick of hearing it. Most of the others were as well.
"Xander, shut up!" Cordelia said. Willow reached over the computer and smacked him on the arm, hard. He fell over, rolling off the table and falling to the floor. Cordelia could hear Angel chuckle as Xander pulled himself up. Willow sat back down.
"What was that for?" Xander asked, looking to Willow with wide eyes.
"I think you know perfectly well," Willow replied. Cordelia looked to Xander.
"Oh, poor baby Xander got beat up by a girl," she teased in a singsong voice. He looked to her.
"Shove it, Cordy. I'm not in the mood to argue," he said.
"Well, who's the one with the attitude problem here, Mister Snotty?" Cordelia shot back. Willow rolled her eyes.
"Hey, if Willow didn't hit me in the first place-" Xander protested.
"If you weren't making stupid comments-" This time, Willow interrupted, jumping back to her feet.
"Both of you shut the hell up! We have a really big problem here, and we can't work together to solve it if you two are going to bitch at each other all day! Now either sit down and help us or stay the hell out of the way!" Willow yelled, sitting back in her seat after her outburst. Oz placed a comforting hand on her arm to help her calm down. Xander and Cordelia sat again.
"Sorry, Willow," Cordelia said in a small voice. Her eyes were wide as she started across the table at the fuming redhead. This was the second time she'd lost it at them for arguing in the middle of a crisis.
"Yeah. Sorry," Xander said, looking to Giles with a shake of his head as if her words had slapped him in the face as they flew toward his ears. "So, what do we do now?"
"Well, I'm not quite sure. First, I recommend we all get some rest. Um, it's about three and a half hours until sunrise. You can all… Oh, I don't care, you figure it out," Giles said, going into his office and slamming the door closed behind him. Everyone sat in a shocked silence for several minutes. Willow winced at how angry he seemed. Maybe because she'd gotten so angry with Xander and Cordelia. The end of the world did tend to have this sort of affect on everyone, though.
"Will? You okay?" Oz asked her, cutting off her train of thought She turned to him, nodding.
"Yeah. I just wish we knew what to do about Chaos," she said, watching Buffy as she pulled her bag out from under the table. "Now what?"
"I have to patrol. You guys try and get some sleep," Buffy replied.
"You want someone to go with you?" Willow asked.
"I should be fine," Buffy said, pulling her bag up onto her shoulder.
"Um, Buffy? Did you miss the part about the vampires not showing up when Chaos comes?" Xander asked, as Cordelia yawned, resting her head on the table, her cheek propped up on her arms.
"No. But, if they know Chaos is coming, they'll all be out to get something to eat before he actually does show up," Buffy said. Xander couldn't argue with her. After all, she was the Slayer, so she'd know the most about vampires. Besides Angel, of course.
"Be careful," Xander said. Buffy smiled, waving briefly before leaving the library. "Well, we should get some sleep. If I try to go home, my parents will lock me in the coat closet or something."
"Yeah. And thanks for making up an excuse for me, Xander," Cordelia said. He smiled.
"Well, I figured if you were sleeping, I should cover for ya. That's the thing when the world ends. We all have to keep the others alive from the wrath that is a parent." Cordelia laughed.
"What about you, Oz? Do you have to go?" Willow asked, turning to her boyfriend.
"Well, see, my parents? They're not real parents. They see me come and go, but they never ask where or why. I can pretty much do whatever I want," Oz said. Willow nodded.
"There is no such thing as a normal parent-child relationship on the Hellmouth, is there?" Xander asked. Everyone shook their heads.
"Tell me about it," Willow said with a sigh. She went to the side of the table Cordelia was on, sitting down beside her and resting her head on the table as well. Oz sat across from Willow, as Xander went to the stairs on the other side of the library.
"You know what? I just realized something," Cordelia said, looking as if a light bulb had just clicked on over her head.
"What?" Willow asked, looking to her.
"I know the solution to less arguing around here. Man, we are all so stupid! It's so obvious, I don't know why we didn't see it before," Cordelia said, sitting up briefly. Willow looked to her eagerly. "We kill Xander." Willow practically burst into laughter.
"Ha, ha, ha. So very funny, Cor," Xander said, rolling his eyes.
"Well, you're the one that starts most of the arguments, and you never give up. If we kill you, no one would ever fight," Cordelia pointed out.
"Guys. Big demon coming to end the world in three hours. We should sleep," Oz said. Everyone decided that was a good plan, and slowly drifted off.
* * *
Angel was slowly but surely getting himself untied. It was mainly because of Xander that his hands were bound behind the railing of the stairs in the Sunnydale High School library.
He glanced to the door of Giles' office, as there was a small noise. No one else had heard it, but, then again, no one else was a vampire. Giles was the other reason he was tied up. Neither Xander nor Giles trusted him now.
Especially around Buffy.
He shook himself from his thoughts in order to concentrate on freeing himself. There was another noise from Giles' office, once again catching the vampire's attention. He held still for what seemed like hours, finally sure the librarian was asleep. He went back to work on the thick knots in the ropes.
"What are you doing?" Willow! The noise from Giles' office had apparently woken her up.
"Willow. Um… W-what are you doing up?" he asked the redhead. She sighed, standing and walking quietly to where he was.
"Well, I heard noises. I thought I'd see what was going on," Willow replied, glancing down at the stairs. "You're trying to get loose, aren't you? There's little pieces of rope all over the stairs behind you."
"Well, if you'd been tied up for an hour after spending the day tied to a chair, you'd be a little eager to get up and walk around," Angel replied. His excuses were no good on Willow.
"Look, I know you wanna go help Buffy, so I'll let you out, but you can't tell anyone. Deal? Especially not Xander." Angel smiled and nodded. Willow scooted back, working on the knots for a moment. "Gosh, these are tight. I guess it wouldn't bug you, though. You know, not having any circulation or anything."
"Right," Angel said absentmindedly. Seconds later, the ropes were undone, and he slid his hands out from them. Willow nodded like 'I know you want to say thanks, but I don't want the others waking up'. He nodded in reply, and headed off to find Buffy.

Buffy pulled herself to her feet, brushing the dust off her shirt. She'd already found and killed eight different vampires, and it was 3:24 in the morning. Usually, her patrols only lasted until one or two, and anyone that was out that late was homeless or drunk, and could die without a great loss to the human race. This time, though, there were too many vampires out.
It had been a long night. She'd found two vampires in the graveyard, three in the park, one outside the coffee shop, and two more when she went back to the park. She sighed, continuing on her path toward the graveyard. She figured she'd hit it one more time, then head back to the library to see if she could get a little sleep. She'd need rest before fighting Chaos, since she'd be doing a good deal of the hand-to-hand as the Slayer.
There was the noise of a twig snapping behind her, but when she turned, she saw nothing. Her eyes scanned the shadows, still not seeing a trace of movement.
"Look, I have better things to do than play hide-and-seek all night. Just give up," Buffy muttered, still looking for what had been the cause of the noise.
Suddenly, she fell to the ground, a sharp pain in the back of her neck. She rolled over, wincing from the pain it shot down her spine, kicking her attacker in the chest. He stumbled back as she got to her feet, spin-kicking the vampire in the head.
As the vampire tried to recover from her assault, she pulled out a stake, lunging for his heart. He saw her move coming, grabbing her wrist before the point of the stake touched his flesh. He turned her wrist in an odd way, and she heard something make a loud snapping noise as pain screamed up her arm. Her stake fell from her hand, and the vampire kicked it away when it hit the ground.
Again, she fell to the ground, landing on her stomach in the dirt. There were sounds of fighting above her, as she closed her eyes, trying to make the pain in her arm go away. Then, she felt dust raining down on her back. She rolled over, seeing Angel, holding the stake she'd dropped. He knelt down beside her.
"Are you okay?" he asked, as she slowly pulled herself to a sitting position, cradling her hurt arm. She nodded, not daring to look at her wrist. "What happened?"
"I'm not sure. He grabbed my arm and turned it kinda funny, and…" Her voice trailed off as she finally got the courage to look down at her sore wrist. It was turned in a very strange direction.
"Okay. Don't try to move it," he said.
"I don't think I can," she replied, wincing as he gently turned her arm to get a better look at it.
"Okay, this is definitely broken. Come on, let's get you up," he helped her to her feet.
"What in the…" It was Xander.
"What are you doing here?" Buffy asked, wincing again as she tried, despite Angel's instructions, to move her wrist.
"What happened? I saw that Angel was gone so I figured I should start looking around town," Xander said, looking curiously at Buffy.
"A vampire attacked me. He, um… He got my arm… I think he broke my wrist," Buffy explained. Xander looked to Angel.
"Which vampire?" he asked.
"Xander, cut it out," Buffy said. Xander looked to the ground, ashamed he was now annoying Buffy as well. "Just so you know, Angel saved my life."
"Come on," Angel said, "we have to get you to a hospital."
"We so don't have time! Giles can handle it when we get back to the library," Buffy said. The serious look on Angel's face stopped her from leaving the area. He reached over to her wrist and wrapped his hand lightly around it. Buffy inhaled sharply, biting her lip.
"If we don't get this fixed, you're not going to be much good fighting Chaos," he informed her. She knew he was right.
"As much as I hate agreeing with him, you need to get that set. It's pretty far out of place," Xander said.
"Alright. Xander, get back to the library, tell the others where we are and what happened, okay. And don't try anything funny, or the first name my cast has on it is gonna be yours, got me?" Buffy said. Xander made a gulping noise, nodding his head.
"Come on," Angel said, and they hurried off to the hospital. Some start to the day, Buffy thought, get a broken wrist. How wonderful…
